Vision of NACYML

The National Association of Catholic Youth Ministry Leaders is a membership-driven, professional organization of Catholic youth ministry leaders serving in dioceses, parishes, schools and youth-serving agencies. In promoting Catholic youth ministry as an integral ecclesial ministry, we

• Serve as a network to support those serving the young Catholic Church
• Provide professional development, ministry formation and personal spiritual growth in light of the Competency-Based Standards for Lay Ecclesial Youth Ministry Leaders
• Advocate for the vocation and profession of youth ministry leaders
• Promote a comprehensive approach to youth ministry as articulated in Renewing the Vision
• Collaborate with the U.S. Catholic bishops, the NFCYM and local ministry leaders for the promotion of youth ministry and the professional development of youth ministry leaders

In response to the Gospel and in pursuit of our mission and vision, we act in accord with these values:

About NACYML

NACYML, a service of the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, promotes the profession and practice of Catholic youth ministry.

Governance of NACYML

A Leadership Team—comprised of youth ministry leaders from diverse ministries and geographical regions—manages the Association. The Leadership Team, in collaboration with association membership, develops the goals and standard operating procedures for the organization from which programs and services are developed.

The NFCYM Board of Directors appointed an initial Leadership Team in January 2004. In succeeding years, according to NACYML SOPs, new members have been discerned as terms expire. The current Leadership Team is listed below.
